I drift along this tide
In your eyes you don’t see me
I’m just shapes and lines, surprise,
With no time apparently
Is this all there is for me?
Can it be more than this?
Than rejecting, refusing, resisting
My body?
My rules bare no credence
In your dominant point of view
Where choosing,
Feels like I’m not choosing
It’s not my body
Apparently
Bare the fruit or be bare
You’re an empty land, of emptiness
You’re a woman, you have a body
It’s time
They say womb tomb
God you’re doomed
Do you have the right,
To know what’s right for me?
Do you have the right
To know what’s right for me?
And part of me knows, it’s for you
And part of me knows, this is you
I can’t follow you
To make you feel true

L'alternance des voix de ce duo australien rappelle un peu les compatriotes Angus & Julia Stone, mais sur un rythme plus lent et plus acoustique. Plus on écoute cet album, plus on l'aime. Une belle découverte ! chris-de-pav
I will not be able to come up with a clever enough compliment for as much of a fresh record “Keeping Up?” is but if I am being honest, this was by far the best release of 2020 in my opinion. The memories this album sheds for me is undeniable. From pump up the dole-drums’ sincere confessions, CONputer shoppes nostalgia, to the mystic SEARS customer service-sounding infomercial refund, I am absolutely smitten and could not possibly thank Darren enough for this idea he crafted stunningly. I don't know what it is... these connections, and why they mean something. Some folks you just have to give them the tools and they'll produce. Darren can tap into the ether and craft out gems boatsinmonterey
